Abstract: On September 3, 2025, the Communist Party of China held the “September 3rd Military Parade” in Beijing, showing off its military power, deterring Taiwan, and squandering huge amounts of people’s money. The military parade highlights dictatorship, historical tampering and neglect of people’s livelihood, and exposes the dangerous attempts of the Communist Party of China and the totalitarian alliance between China, Russia and North Korea.

On September 3, 2025, the roaring sound of warplanes and the sound of tank tracks rolling on the ground echoed over Tiananmen Square in Beijing again. The 9th National Congress Military Parade held by the Communist Party of China under the so-called “80th Anniversary of the Victory of the Anti-Japanese War” was ostentious and grand, which can be said to be the most expensive political show in China in recent years. According to external estimates, the expenditure of this military parade is as high as tens of billions of yuan, which is enough to build thousands of rural schools and improve the lives of countless families displaced by floods and earthquakes. However, Xi Jinping doesn’t care. What he needs is not people’s livelihood, but to show the world the illusion of a so-called “strong country”. China’s economy is in decline, the youth unemployment rate is high, and social contradictions are brewing like a volcano. The military parade is not to commemorate the War of Resistance, but to paralyze the people, deter society, and cover up the crisis. The dictator knows that guns and queues can temporarily muff people.

In this big show, hundreds of thousands of soldiers were forced to stand for hours and exposed to the scorching sun; millions of Beijing citizens were restricted from traveling, shops were closed, express delivery was suspended, and even hospital visits were compressed to the limit. The so-called “national celebration” is actually forced by the whole nation to give way to Xi Jinping’s dictatorship. This is not a national celebration, but a person’s coronation ceremony. It is not the first time that a similar scene has been staged. The “September 3rd Military Parade” in 2015 and the “70th Anniversary Military Parade” in 2019 were accompanied by huge expenses and national suffering. Roads are blocked, factories are shut down, air must be “purified”, and even pigeons and kites are regarded as “security threats”. This is a typical totalitarian ceremony: let all the people give way to the vanity of the dictator and let the whole society sacrifice for the image of one person. The army, which should have served the people, was forced to become the decoration of the dictator. Cities that should have guaranteed social operation were forced to suspend operation. The Communist Party of China has repeatedly declared that “the people are the masters of the country”, but in such a scene, the people are just the background board and props.

The focus of this military parade is not to commemorate history, but to threaten the present. The Communist Party of China showed a series of strategic weapons against Taiwan and the United States, such as land-based nuclear missiles DF-61, air-launched nuclear missiles JL-1, and submarine-launched missiles JL-3. The media even deliberately emphasized that “the Taiwan Strait is under fire cover”. In his speech, Xi Jinping claimed that “no one will be allowed to split the motherland”, which actually regards the democratic choice of tens of millions of Taiwanese people as a “hostile action” and an open intimidation of Taiwan. These weapons whizzed past the parade, accompanied by the rendering of TV pictures, as if they could destroy Taipei at any time. These cold missiles are not a symbol of the country, but the shadow of the death of democratic Taiwan and the free world. The Communist Party of China has never really cared about “national defense and security”. What they care about is how to suppress the right of the Taiwanese people to self-determination through the threat of force.

However, no matter how powerful the weapon is, it cannot hide the fact that Taiwan is a liberal democratic political system that is maintained by the people’s choice. Xi Jinping’s intimidation of Taiwan by force is just the bluff of a dictator. As revealed by the war in Ukraine, the weapons in the hands of the aggressors cannot destroy the freedom in the hearts of the people. The future of Taiwan will only be determined by the votes and resistance of the Taiwanese people.

On the parade platform, the most eye-catching guests are not the leaders of any democratic country, but Russian President Putin and North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un. The three dictators stood side by side, which became the most ironic picture of the ceremony. Beijing originally wanted to use this to show the world the united front of “anti-fascism”, but what the world saw was a new totalitarian axis. Russia is isolated around the world for its aggression against Ukraine, North Korea is regarded as an international outcast because of its nuclear weapons program and human rights atrocities, while China is going further and further on the road of suppressing Hong Kong, persecuting Xinjiang and Tibet, and threatening Taiwan. The gathering of the regimes of the three countries is not to commemorate history, but to plan new atrocities. They performed the contemporary fascist chorus in the name of anti-fascism. Such a combination reminds people of the “Berlin-Rome-Tokyo Axis” on the eve of World War II. The totalitan alliance at that time provoked a world war with force and aggression, and today’s reunion between China, Russia and North Korea is also creating a new shadow of war.

If the weapons on the military parade are chilling, then a “hot wheat storm” between the military parade shocked the world. In the live broadcast, CCTV accidentally captured the private conversation between Xi Jinping and Putin. Putin said through translation: “With the development of biotechnology, human organs can be continuously transplanted. If they live for a long time, they will become younger and younger and may even live longer.” Xi Jinping responded: “Some people predict that human beings may live to be 150 years old in this century.” This scary dialogue quickly spread around the world. Reuters, the Wall Street Journal, the Guardian, etc. reported it one after another, and China CCTV hurriedly withdrew the relevant video. This is not a casual joke after dinner, but the dictator’s fantasy of “controlling life and death” on the highest stage.

In China, the shadow of “organ harvesting” has long been deeply rooted. From the accusations of Falun Gong practitioners to the disappearance of students who have been exposed many times in recent years, to the non-transparent medical examination in Xinjiang concentration camps, all of which have made the world suspicious of the dark behavior of the Chinese regime in the field of organ transplantation. Today, the dialogue between Xi Jinping and Putin at the national celebration is tantamount to putting this bloody rumor in the spotlight again. Dictators are not satisfied with taking power or extending their term of office. They are even eager to extend their physical life in order to continue to enslave the people. Their delusion of immortality is not scientific progress, but moral degradation.

When Xi Jinping and Putin talked freely about “150-year-old life”, ordinary Chinese people were struggling to live to tomorrow. The victims of the “7·20” rainstorm in Zhengzhou, Henan Province are still asking for the truth. The fighters in the Sichuan Jiangyou incident have been arrested, and the victims of campus bullying in Henan, Hebei and Shaanxi have not been fairly tried. Countless migrant workers have been in arrears, countless young people have fallen into unsecure poverty due to “flexible employment”, and countless families are on the verge of collapse due to compulsory social security, mortgage burden and expensive medical care. At the same time, the Communist Party of China is still squandering tens of billions of military parade expenses, overseas “Belt and Road” currency, luxurious government buildings and special system for officials. The prosperity of the regime contrasts sharply with the suffering of the people. When the regime shouted, “the revival of a strong country”, the people shed tears in silence. The roar of the military parade only covers the painful noise.

The September 3rd Military Parade claimed to commemorate the “80th Anniversary of the Victory of the Anti-Japanese War”, but if the martyrs of the Anti-Japanese War were in heaven, I’m afraid they would only feel angry and humiliated. The Chinese military and civilians, who fought hard in those years, hoped for freedom and independence, not in exchange for the iron curtain of another dictatorship. The Communist Party of China took the legacy of the War of Resistance as its own, tampered with history, covered up the sacrifices of the Kuomintang army and countless people, leaving only a single narrative of the propaganda of the Party and the country. This kind of stealing history is itself a betrayal of the martyrs. Today’s military parade is not a memorial, but a tomb robbery. The dictatorship takes the blood and tears of the martyrs as the stage setting to find legitimacy for its own continued rule. The War of Resistance is not the merit of the Communist Party of China, but the sacrifice of all Chinese people. However, in the discourse system of the Communist Party of China, the War of Resistance was simplified to “the victory of the Communist Party’s leadership”, the bloody struggle of the Kuomintang was deliberately erased, and the struggle of tens of millions of civilians was ignored. Such a historical narrative is a betrayal of the past and a poison to the future.

The September 3rd Military Parade is not only a brainwashing of mainland China, but also a threat to the whole world. Xi Jinping covered up the crisis with military parades, threatened Taiwan with weapons, strengthened himself with dictatorial alliances, and satisfied his desires with delusions of organ ertality. But all this cannot hide the fact that the free will of the people will eventually crush the tyranny. Dictators fantasize to live to be 150 years old, and history will only record their heinous crimes. The world must see clearly: this is a dying dictatorship, trying to stop the dawn of freedom with the last fireworks. The future of China does not belong to the missiles on the parade ground or to the prolonged life of dictators, but to those who still insist on the truth and defend freedom in suffering. Just as the Berlin Wall collapsed and the Soviet empire collapsed, freedom would eventually come to China.
