前几天刷油管看到王志安讲中国足球，他说了一句让我心里咯噔的话：中国足球烂，不是没钱，也不是没天赋，而是体制作怪。
搞笑的是，习近平还自称球迷，整天喊“三大愿望”：进世界杯、办世界杯、拿世界杯。喊得特带劲，可十多年过去，国足依旧原地踏步，亚洲二流，世界杯门都摸不到。中超欠薪、假球、黑哨一堆堆，青训？根本摆设。现实啪啪打脸，这不是体制问题，那还是什么？
在中国，足球根本不是运动，而是政治任务。领导一句“足球要发展”，下面立刻轰轰烈烈：修球场、搞所谓“足球特色学校”、文件厚得能压死人。表面热闹，实则作秀。真正想踢球的孩子没地方去，想走职业路的家长也不敢支持，因为整个体系下踢球根本没有保障。很多家长一句话就把孩子踢回课堂：“踢球有什么前途？好好上学才是真的。”
足球讲自由、讲竞争，而这两样恰恰是共产党最怕的。假球、赌球新闻敢报道吗？媒体全被封。孩子们课业压得喘不过气，别说踢球，连户外活动都是奢侈。投资人想砸钱养球队？政策一刀切，说限薪就限薪，说砍就砍。中超当年请外援，气氛一度热闹，可政策一变，瞬间打回原形。
反观日韩，人家几十年扎实搞青训，职业化改革稳步推进，现在世界杯常客。中国呢？永远在原地打转。说到底，不是没钱，不是没人踢得好，而是体制死死压着，完全没有自由和活力。
有人说中国足球烂是因为腐败，当然有，但问题是为什么永远改不掉？足协主席一个接一个进监狱，陈戌源刚进去，杜兆才又出来。赌球、黑哨年年都有，整治完照样继续。因为在这个体制下，腐败不是偶尔，是标配。没有独立媒体，没有监督，没有问责，换谁上去都一样。足球只是冰山一角，教育、医疗、房地产，不都是一锅烂账吗？
习近平的“足球梦”，我只能说，彻头彻尾的笑话。他可能真喜欢足球，但他以为靠独裁能搞好足球，这就是荒唐。他喊改革，结果还是官僚掌权；说青训，孩子依旧没保障；搞政策，朝令夕改。越折腾越尴尬，那“三大愿望”，最后全成“三大笑话”。
说实话，中国足球要翻身，前提是体制得变。要有自由的媒体，才能揭黑幕；要有法治和稳定的市场，资本才敢长期投入；要有公平竞争，球员才能脱颖而出。这些东西，在共产党手里根本不可能存在。
所以答案很简单：只要这体制一天不变，中国足球别做梦。没有自由，就没有足球；没有民主，中国足球永远就是个国际笑话。
Democracy vs. dictatorship: Why can’t Xi Jinping save Chinese football?

The funny thing is that Xi Jinping also claims to be a fan and shouts “three major wishes” all day long: enter the World Cup, hold the World Cup, and get the World Cup. Children who really want to play football have nowhere to go, and parents who want to go professionally dare not support it, because there is no guarantee for playing football under the whole system. Many parents kicked their children back to the classroom with one sentence: “What’s the future of playing football? It’s true to go to school well.
Football is about freedom and competition, and these two are exactly what the Communist Party fears most. Do you dare to report fake ball and gambling news? All the media were blocked. Children’s schoolwork is overwhelming. Not to mention playing football, even outdoor activities are a luxury. Investors want to spend money to support the team. The policy is one-size-fits-all. If you say limit the salary, limit the salary, and cut it. The Chinese Super League invited foreign aid at that time, and the atmosphere was lively for a while, but as soon as the policy changed, it returned to its original form in an instant.
In contrast, Japan and South Korea have been engaged in youth training for decades, and professional reform has been steadily promoted. Now they are regulars in the World Cup. What about China? Always turn around in place. In the end, it’s not that there is no money, it’s not that no one plays well, but that the system is under pressure, and there are no freedom and vitality at all.
Some people say that Chinese football is rotten because of corruption, of course there is, but the question is why it can never be changed? The presidents of the Football Association entered the prison one after another. As soon as Chen Xuyuan entered, Du Zhao came out again. There are gambling balls and black whistles every year, and they will continue as they are after rectification. Because under this system, corruption is not occasional, but standard. Without independent media, without supervision, without accountability, it’s the same for anyone to go up. Football is just the tip of the iceberg. Aren’t education, medical care and real estate all a bad account?
Xi Jinping’s “football dream”, I can only say, is a complete joke. He may really like football, but he thought that he could do football well by dictatorship, which is absurd. He called for reform, but the bureaucrats came to power; he said that the children were still not guaranteed for youth training; he was engaged in policies, and the imperial order was changed overnight. The more you toss, the more embarrassing it becomes. The “three major wishes” will eventually become the “three major jokes”.
To be honest, if Chinese football wants to turn around, the premise is that the system is changed. Only with free media can we expose the dark scene; only with the rule of law and a stable market can capitally dare to invest for a long time; only with fair competition can players stand out. These things simply don’t exist in the hands of the Communist Party.
So, the answer is simple: as long as the system remains unchanged for a day, don’t dream about Chinese football. Without freedom, there is no football; without democracy, Chinese football will always be an international joke.
