2025年9月20日，我们：马群、何愚、曾群兰作为《在野党》工作者，来到洛杉矶中国大使馆门前，举起横幅和《在野党》杂志，高声声援22岁的留学生张雅笛。
张雅笛曾在“华语青年挺藏会”从事编辑工作。今年7月回国探亲时，她被中国警方抓捕并失联。此消息令人痛心，更令人震惊的是，709人权律师江天勇在尝试为张雅笛的母亲提供法律援助时，也被警方带走并失联。
张雅笛不过是年轻学子，却因追求自由与民主而遭受严酷打压。江天勇律师的再次被捕，更凸显了中国当局对法治与人权的持续打压。
我们今天在洛杉矶的行动，是为了呼吁国际社会高度关注张雅笛与江天勇的处境。我们要告诉世人：
自由不是罪，民主不是罪！
我们强烈要求中共立即释放张雅笛和江天勇，还他们自由与尊严！
张雅笛无罪！江天勇无罪！
释放所有因信仰自由与追求民主而遭受迫害的人！

Members of The Opposition Party in Los Angeles Voice Support for Zhang Yadi

Abstract: On September 20, 2025, members of The Opposition Party gathered in front of the Chinese Consulate in Los Angeles, holding banners in support of international student Zhang Yadi and calling for her release along with 709 human rights lawyer Jiang Tianyong. The action emphasized that freedom is not a crime, democracy is not a crime, and demanded that the CCP stop its persecution.
On September 20, 2025, we—Ma Qun, He Yu, and Zeng Qunlan—as members of The Opposition Party, came to the front of the Chinese Consulate in Los Angeles. We raised banners and copies of The Opposition Party magazine, loudly voicing our support for 22-year-old international student Zhang Yadi.
Zhang Yadi had previously worked as an editor for the “Mandarin Youth Tibet Support Association.” In July of this year, while returning to China to visit family, she was arrested by Chinese police and went missing. This news is heartbreaking, and what is even more shocking is that 709 human rights lawyer Jiang Tianyong was also taken away and disappeared when he attempted to provide legal assistance to Zhang Yadi’s mother.
Zhang Yadi is merely a young student, yet she has suffered severe repression for pursuing freedom and democracy. The repeated arrest of lawyer Jiang Tianyong further underscores the Chinese authorities’ ongoing suppression of the rule of law and human rights.
Our action today in Los Angeles is to call on the international community to pay close attention to the plight of Zhang Yadi and Jiang Tianyong. We want to tell the world:
Freedom is not a crime, democracy is not a crime!
We strongly demand that the CCP immediately release Zhang Yadi and Jiang Tianyong, restoring their freedom and dignity!
Zhang Yadi is innocent! Jiang Tianyong is innocent!
Release all those persecuted for their faith and pursuit of democracy!
