Since ancient times, reaching seventy years of age has been a rare occurrence;

do not charge into battle or push forward too hastily.

Lian Po still yearned to go to war at eighty,

while Wen Long achieved remarkable exploits at the age of eighteen.

Sages of ages past flit before my eyes,

while contemporary petty men are despised deep in my heart.

In future lives, I shall not forget the help of my benefactors,

leaving an illustrious name for ten thousand generations to be preserved in historical records.
