1. Background of the Protest
On July 22, 2025, a shocking incident of school bullying occurred in Jiangyou City, Sichuan Province. A 14-year-old girl named Lai was subjected to four hours of brutal beating, humiliation, forced kneeling, and verbal abuse—all because her mother is hearing impaired. According to widely circulated online videos, the perpetrators showed no remorse and blatantly mocked the law, saying, “Even if we go to the police station, we’ll be out in 20 minutes.”
The incident sparked widespread public outrage. Thousands of parents and residents spontaneously gathered in front of the local police bureau, demanding justice for the victim and calling for social accountability.
However, in typical fashion, the CCP authorities responded with high-pressure stability maintenance tactics—dispersing peaceful demonstrators, arresting concerned parents, and trying to silence public outcry and cover up the truth. This event once again exposes the deep injustice of China’s judicial system, the breakdown of campus safety, and the systemic neglect of vulnerable groups under the CCP regime. The so-called “handling in accordance with the law” is nothing but a hypocritical show to placate the public and prioritize state control.
We are heartbroken by the suffering of the young victim, and even more outraged by the cruelty shown to the weak by society at large. Just as the people of Sichuan once bravely stood up during the White Paper Revolution to resist lockdown tyranny, they are now once again showing courage and conscience. They are not fighting for one child—but for all children, and for every Chinese person’s right to speak out.
From the free soil of the United States, we stand in solidarity with the brave citizens of Jiangyou. We support their just resistance against injustice and tyranny. We believe that only by overthrowing the CCP dictatorship can China’s children grow up in schools and environments free from fear.

2. Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in deep sorrow, lifting up to You the school bullying incident in Jiangyou, Sichuan. Lord, a 14-year-old girl endured four hours of torture—verbal abuse, beatings, forced kneeling, isolated and helpless in the crowd—suffering immense physical and emotional trauma. She is just a child, yet became a target of abuse simply because her mother is deaf. Lord, such injustice breaks our hearts!
We ask You to personally comfort this girl, Lai. Heal her wounded body and mend her shattered soul. May she find new strength in Your love and no longer be defined by shame and fear. Lord, please also comfort her mother—strengthen this weeping mother in the darkness. Let her know You are the Father of the deaf and the God of the orphan.
We thank You for the citizens, parents, and righteous people in Jiangyou who stood up. They are not afraid of police repression or state power. They dared to speak out and watch over the victim. Lord, they are courageous and compassionate—they are the seeds of hope in China. Please protect these citizens of conscience. Let them not be crushed by fear or surveillance, but be emboldened by Your righteousness and courage!
Lord, we also pray for the youth who committed the violence and the bystanders who stood indifferent. They are both victims and products of a society out of control. Their cruelty and their contempt for the law are the fruits of systemic corruption and educational failure. Have mercy on them. Turn their hearts back to truth and repentance.
We also cry out for China under this oppressive regime: Lord, raise the wind of justice! Blow away lies and fear! Strike down the evil ones who sit on thrones of darkness. Dismantle the false peace of the entire stability-maintenance system! We believe You hear the cries of the poor and the children, and You will surely bring justice for them.
Wake up more people, Lord. Let them no longer remain silent or indifferent. Let justice no longer wander, and let mercy no longer be suppressed. May Your kingdom come, and may Your will be done in China, as it is in heaven.
In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ we pray,
Amen!

📢 Additional Section: Call for Religious Freedom in China
On the soil of China, persecution against the Church happens every day. We must include a call in every one of our actions to demand the release of the persecuted faithful.
We strongly condemn the recent actions by authorities in Wenzhou, who are using fabricated charges to suppress Pastor Huang Yizi, other implicated Christians, Catholic clergy, and members of local house churches. This represents a serious violation of the fundamental right to religious freedom.
We urgently call for an immediate end to all forms of religious persecution and for the unconditional release of all detained clergy and believers!

Always on the Road, Journeying Toward Democracy and Freedom
—— By Huiwen Lu
My name is Huiwen Lu. I am a steadfast member of the China Democracy Party and the Deputy Editor-in-Chief and Vice President of The Opposition Party magazine. Publicly opposing the Chinese Communist Party and pursuing democracy and freedom has been my long-standing conviction. Yes—it’s been nearly thirty years since I woke up!
In middle school, I began questioning the lies in our textbooks. I often engaged in fierce debates with classmates, insisting that communism did not and could not exist. I was that “strange kid” who harbored deep doubts about our political and history classes, yet endured the distorted indoctrination, ranking first in my class year after year—eventually becoming the top liberal arts student.
I awakened far too early, and in China, I could find no kindred spirits. People around me saw me as eccentric. Over time, I even started to wonder if I was mentally ill. It was only after I “climbed over the firewall” that I discovered the term “political depression.” I realized—I was not alone. I was not crazy.
Now, standing on free and democratic soil, I have finally found comrades who share the same pursuit for China’s democracy and freedom. I will always walk this road, pressing forward without hesitation, resolutely marching toward democracy and freedom!

The Strictest in Recent Years
Under today’s immigration landscape, where do new immigrants seeking asylum in the U.S. go from here?
Leniency Within Strictness
Though policies are tightening, the legal right to asylum remains intact.
Defending Freedom
Why does the U.S. government offer asylum?
Asylum is not charity—it is a defense of freedom. Only by standing up can you claim the rights that belong to you.
Enjoying Freedom
Only by defending freedom can one truly enjoy it.
Asylum is granted not merely because you’ve suffered, but because you’ve chosen to break the silence.
A Historical Review
What are the differences and similarities between immigration policies under the Biden administration and the Trump era? What shifts in the U.S. government’s attitude toward asylum seekers should raise alarm or offer opportunity?
In this special session, we invite experienced immigration attorney Chuangchuang Chen to provide an in-depth analysis of current U.S. immigration trends and strategic legal responses from both a professional and practical perspective.

Protesting the CCP’s Delusional Plans to Conquer Taiwan — Full Support for Taiwan’s Mass Recall Movement
I am Yang Changbing, a member of the China Democracy Party. On June 22, 2025, I publicly expressed my support for Taiwan’s mass recall movement on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, standing in protest against the CCP’s authoritarian infiltration and threats toward Taiwan. One country, one system — the mainland must return to the people! With my actions, I made my stance clear: If one day the CCP launches a war against Taiwan, I will take up arms to defend Taiwan — to defend the last bastion of democracy, freedom, and equality in the Chinese-speaking world.

“The Chained Woman” — A Cry for Chinese Women’s Suffering in the Heart of Hollywood
I am Zheng Min, a member of the China Democracy Party Committee in Los Angeles. I have long been committed to issues concerning women and human rights in China. This photo was taken in January 2024: I wore a pink outfit and a chain around my neck, standing in front of the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, physically recreating the image of the “Chained Woman” to represent the institutionalized suffering and silent resistance endured by Chinese women under authoritarian rule.
With this act, I called on the international community to pay attention to the plight of Chinese women. I want the whole world to see that the way a country treats its women reveals the moral bottom line of its civilization.

Fighting for Freedom: A Declaration from a Member of the China Democracy Party
I am Li Congling, a member of the China Democracy Party. I firmly oppose the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) authoritarian rule and am committed to promoting constitutional democracy in China. For over seventy years, the CCP has maintained its one-party dictatorship through lies and violence, stripping the Chinese people of their fundamental freedoms and human rights. It has dragged the entire nation into the abyss of tyranny. Freedom of speech is censored, thought is suppressed, and dissenters are persecuted—these realities reveal that the CCP is the greatest machinery of oppression in the modern world. In the face of the CCP’s growing military threats against Taiwan, I am more convinced than ever that defending Taiwan’s freedom and democracy is the duty of every Chinese person who loves liberty. Taiwan is not only a continuation of Chinese civilization—it is a beacon of hope for China’s future. I vow to wield my pen as a sword and raise my voice through action, to expose the CCP’s crimes and awaken the conscience of the people. I will never cease in the struggle—for China’s freedom, and for the dignity of its people.

URGENT CALL TO ACTION August 5 – Protest at the Chinese Consulate in Los Angeles Condemn the CCP’s Illegal Crackdown
Urgent Assembly: Initiated by party members Zhao Jie, Cai Xiaoli, and Huang Chunyuan, and jointly launched with the Action Department, this is a call to stand in solidarity with the girl in Jiangyou and the brave citizens in China who are rising up in protest.
Protest the CCP’s illegal suppression: Stand up for the girl from Jiangyou, for justice, and for all those who speak out for the vulnerable!
In Jiangyou, Sichuan, a young girl was subjected to brutal school bullying — beaten, humiliated, and surrounded while others watched. The video has triggered widespread grief and outrage. Yet this is not an isolated incident. Such violence in schools is a systemic result of a repressive regime that distorts human nature under the CCP’s rule.
What we are witnessing is not just school bullying— It is the reflection of a violent, oppressive, and rights-deprived society under the CCP.
We strongly denounce: • The CCP’s long-term suppression of free speech and destruction of civil society, leaving the weak voiceless and justice nowhere to be found; • An education system reduced to a tool of brainwashing, ignoring children’s dignity and safety, and breeding violence; • Law enforcement and media turned into “stability maintenance” tools, concerned only with public opinion control — not the lives and futures of children; • In such an authoritarian regime, victims are silenced, perpetrators act with impunity, parents live in fear, and bystanders look away.
We call for: • Ongoing attention from people of conscience at home and abroad to the girl’s situation, and for support in providing her psychological and legal assistance; • Educators and citizens to stop endorsing tyranny — to speak up, document, and take action; • A complete reckoning with and dismantling of this fear-driven system of oppression, to rebuild a society founded on justice, democracy, and humanity.
A regime that fails to protect its children has no legitimacy. A regime that tolerates violence must be held accountable by justice.
Today we raise our voices against school bullying — so that no more children will cry in silence.

Lee Kuan Yew’s Prophecy on China — On the Jiangyou Incident
Abstract:
The bullying incident in Jiangyou, Sichuan has sparked public outrage. Citizens’ peaceful appeals were met with violent suppression, affirming Lee Kuan Yew’s warning about a looming governance crisis in China. This article condemns the CCP’s use of violence to silence public opinion and calls for a return to rule of law and human decency — and for the government to listen to the people.
By Guo Bin
Edited by Li Congling | Chief Editor: Luo Zhifei | Translated by Lu Huiwen
In an interview, Lee Kuan Yew was once asked about the biggest governance crisis facing China in the future. He replied,
“China’s leadership needs to address grassroots-level corruption and the injustices of local governance, which may trigger large-scale ‘gray swan’ events.”
Today, the popular uprising in Jiangyou, Sichuan, has proven this prediction true.
The Jiangyou incident refers to events on July 22, 2025, around 3 p.m., when a 14-year-old girl surnamed Lai, a junior high school student in Jiangyou City, Sichuan Province, was lured to an abandoned building by three girls of similar age. There, she was verbally abused, stripped, slapped, forced to kneel, and violently kicked. During the attack, one girl even boasted:
“It’s not like we haven’t been to the police station before — we’ll be out in 20 minutes.”
After video footage of the incident spread widely on WeChat groups, Weibo, and TikTok, it drew nationwide attention. On August 4, the Jiangyou Public Security Bureau issued a statement: Liu (15) and Peng (14), the main perpetrators, were given administrative penalties and sent to a special correctional school. Another girl, aged 13, along with bystanders, received criticism and were ordered into the custody of their guardians. The victim received psychological counseling and support. Her background — coming from a disabled, impoverished, and vulnerable family — stirred significant public sympathy.
That same day, large numbers of Jiangyou residents spontaneously gathered in front of the city government building to support the victim and her family, chanting slogans such as:
“Civilized law enforcement!”
“Justice for the victim!”
Police swiftly deployed uniformed officers and plainclothed enforcers to the scene. Some citizens were reportedly beaten with batons and forcibly taken away. Videos show law enforcement using expandable batons and pepper spray to disperse the crowd. Signal jamming devices were visible at the site. The crackdown continued into the night.
In China’s grassroots governance, there’s an unspoken rule:
“The poor don’t fight the rich; the rich don’t fight officials.”
When a girl from a marginalized, disabled family is subjected to school bullying, and if the government handles it fairly, it’s unlikely to spark mass anger. What kind of backroom dealings of power and money lie behind this case remains unclear. But one thing is certain — the initial official response did not satisfy the public.
Moreover, amid China’s economic downturn and the public’s deep-rooted sense of moral empathy for the weak, the widespread circulation of the bullying video ignited public outrage naturally and inevitably. The people needed a release valve — a way to vent their anger, to demand basic justice and human decency.
Yet the government’s response was telling. Reportedly, the Jiangyou city government had initially reached an agreement with citizen representatives, and the matter could have been resolved through negotiation. So why did the Mianyang SWAT team ultimately resort to a violent crackdown? Why not resolve the issue through peaceful dialogue?
The answer is simple.
If public protest can force the government to back down,
if negotiation becomes the norm,
then more wronged citizens will rise to challenge the government.
The goal of violent suppression is not to solve the incident — it’s to crush the very idea that people have rights.
It’s meant to instill fear, to enforce submission.
This is the logic of Legalist-style governance. Let us return to Lee Kuan Yew’s prophecy. In today’s China, weakened and worn down economically, incidents like the Jiangyou protest will not be isolated cases. From the Chinese government’s standpoint, there are two paths ahead:
• One is to persist with traditional Legalist tactics:
Deny the people what they want.
Give them what they most resent.
Govern them until they are too afraid, too exhausted, and too hopeless to resist.
• The other path is to build a society where ordinary people have channels to appeal, to have their basic human rights and dignity respected.
History has shown that the former — ruling through fear and suppression — cannot last.
The latter — listening to the people — is the true direction of history.
I will be silent no more— For the gunshots on Chang’an Avenue Still echo in my ears. That year, tanks crushed our dreams, Hot blood stained the square red, And in the dead of night, A mother clutched the portrait of her fallen son. Bullets silenced the mouths, And history played deaf.
I will retreat no more— For blank sheets have raised Millions of voiceless screams. They sealed cities, welded doors, took lives, But they could not seal the hearts That had awakened. Some leapt from high-rises, Some suffocated in subways, Some wrote their final words In WeChat messages never sent.
will yield no more— For sparks once flared on Hong Kong’s streets Umbrellas could not stop tear gas, But young eyes saw through lies and muzzles. They sang, “May Glory Return to Hong Kong,” And were charged with “inciting secession.” Truth was jailed. Conscience numbered.
will stay indifferent no more— For the plague was but a tool of the regime. Data was tampered with, The dead left unnamed, The living turned to sacrifices On statistics charts. They locked down the world And unleashed the virus— Laughing coldly while covering it up. Who will answer For the millions wronged?
I will pretend to sleep no more— For the people of Taiwan have awakened. The mass recall is not a political game, But a furious rebuttal to CCP infiltration. What we demand Is the breath of freedom— Not shackles and silence In the name of “peaceful unification.”
So I rise, With pen as my weapon, Truth as my light, And justice as my compass. I fire upon lies, I fire upon oppression, I fire upon the Chinese Communist Party!
Not out of hatred, But so we may remember: We are not submissive subjects— We are citizens.
