Abstract: The “West–East Anti-CCP Motorcade: CCP Virus Grand Tour,” jointly launched by four pro-democracy groups in Los Angeles, traveled across multiple U.S. states over the course of one month before reaching Washington, D.C. The campaign called for sanctions against the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) for its infiltration of the United States and the harm caused by the virus, exposed the CCP’s human rights abuses and persecution of its citizens, and advocated global joint action to defend freedom and humanitarian values.
IntroductionIn September 2025, four Los Angeles–based pro-democracy organizations—the Liberty Sculpture Park, the China Democracy Party, the China Human Rights Alliance, and the Los Angeles Democratic Platform—jointly launched and organized a large-scale “West–East Anti-CCP Motorcade Tour.” The goal was to urge the U.S. government to impose sanctions on the CCP, expose its infiltration into American society and its extraterritorial repression of individuals in the U.S., and protest the CCP’s creation and concealment of COVID-19, which resulted in the deaths of millions of innocent people worldwide and severely endangered human life and health. Faced with such crimes against humanity, we must stand up, raise our voices for justice, and demand accountability.
The “CCP Virus Motorcade Tour” lasted one month. It departed from Los Angeles, California, traveled through multiple U.S. states, and ultimately arrived in Washington, D.C., and New York. Along the way, the motorcade engaged with local communities, promoted democratic ideals, exposed the reality of CCP tyranny, and visited multiple important memorial sites. This action was not only a cross-continent protest but also a journey of freedom symbolizing hope and awakening.
I. Visiting the Victims of Communism Memorial and FoundationSeptember 23, 2025 · Washington, D.C.Led by sculptor Chen Weiming of the Liberty Sculpture Park and Jin Xiuhong, founder of the China Human Rights Alliance, the “CCP Virus” motorcade visited the Victims of Communism Memorial and Foundation (VOC).
The foundation’s staff warmly received the motorcade and provided a detailed introduction to the catastrophes that communism has brought to humanity, noting that tens of millions of people died under authoritarian rule in Eastern Europe, the Soviet Union, Southeast Asia, Cuba, and other regions. Through historical documents, artifacts, videos, and photographs, the memorial vividly presents the harsh reality of ordinary people suffering under totalitarian regimes.
II. Passionate Speeches and ExchangesDuring the discussion session, Mr. Chen Weiming, Ms. Jin Xiuhong, and renowned human rights lawyer Chen Guangcheng each delivered powerful speeches. They spoke of pro-democracy pioneer Dr. Wang Bingzhang and human rights lawyer Gao Zhisheng, both of whom have long been imprisoned and persecuted by the CCP and emphasized that countless Chinese citizens have been deprived of their most basic freedoms and dignity under CCP rule. Their speeches repeatedly drew warm applause from the audience, and Ms. Jin Xiuhong became emotional and choked up at one point.
After the speeches, members of the motorcade held in-depth conversations with the foundation’s staff, sharing their concerns regarding China’s human rights situation and expressing their hopes for a future democratic and free China.
III. A Shared Mission of Exposing and ResistingParticipants unanimously pointed out that the CCP’s authoritarian rule deprives the Chinese people of their fundamental human rights, with many rights lawyers imprisoned or forcibly disappeared. The CCP even employs advanced technology to monitor, restrict, suppress, and intimidate the populace, and collaborates with illegal institutions to commit systematic forced organ harvesting—an act of crimes against humanity—causing countless people to “disappear.”
Furthermore, the CCP created a man-made disaster by causing and concealing the virus outbreak, resulting in millions of infections and deaths, as well as severe economic crises and social turmoil. Countless families have been shattered as a result. The purpose of this action is to expose these brutal truths and awaken the American government and public so that they may join us in resisting the CCP.
ConclusionAt the closing of the “CCP Virus Tour,” speakers and participants jointly called on the international community not to remain silent in the face of CCP atrocities. Only through continued attention and united support can the Chinese people achieve genuine freedom and democracy, freeing themselves from fear and pursuing happiness. We also urge governments, international organizations, and human rights institutions around the world to condemn the CCP’s political persecution and suppression of religious freedom, and to hold the CCP accountable for its cover-up and spread of the pandemic—ensuring that it pays the price for the immense humanitarian disaster it has caused.
Only when justice is upheld can freedom be realized, and only then can the world break free from the shadow of totalitarianism.
